The Pacific Southwest Railway Museum
Student Appreciation Day Train Tours

We invite you and your students to take a time travel adventure aboard 1930's vintage passenger cars. The school train runs on the third Tuesday of each month from the historic Campo depot, about 60 miles east of downtown San Diego. All seats must be reserved in advance.

The 1 to 1 1/2 hour trip departs the Campo depot at 10:00 AM. The cost is $5.00 per person. Please note that we require at least one adult present for every ten children.

Each ticket is also good for a visit into our Museum grounds with 80 pieces of equipment to see and touch. Allow 30 minutes for the Museum visit.

Picnic tables are available at the Campo Depot for your use.

Regularly priced tickets (weekend fares) are available by reservation for those not affiliated with a school group.

Note: The Museum needs a minimum of riders to schedule and run the School Train. We will notify you if we don't meet that minimum to reschedule your visit. To qualify for the Student Fare of $5.00, the child must be of school age in grades K through 12 and attend with the affiliated group or class. A reasonable number of adult chaperones will qualify for the $5.00 fare. Other groups or persons may qualify for different discounts, please check with the ticket master for further details.
